August Reports

sarahissmaller • August 31, 2014

So I have lost a total of 23.7 lbs in the month of August. The big difference was having hormone therapy to counter the high cortisol levels from the tumor. I would not have even lost a single pound if I had not been given this medication. I am glad that it is only temporary that I will have to take this, as I don’t really want to take it for the rest of my life. My exercise has increased to doing about 4 to 5 miles  per day, and I am kind of running. I am also doing zumba and back to figure skating as well. I like to swim daily. I am working out like a crazy person. The biggest changes I have made so far are that I am having a protein drink for breakfast instead of a meal, the exercise, and I am eating as if I already had the surgery. I am cooking from recipes that are meant for bariatric patients. This has made the most significant difference in my success to date.

For the month of August I completed over 50 miles of walking/running!! Pretty cool, if you ask me.
